Hey there!
I’m Stephanie.
I’m a birth and postpartum doula, CLC, and BRM pro, based in Salem, OR.
Before becoming a doula, I spent 11 years as a teacher. That experience shaped a lot of how I approach this work. I learned pretty quickly that there is no one-size-fits-all way to support people. Everyone comes with their own experiences, strengths, questions, preferences, and ways of learning—and I believe good support starts with meeting you where you are.
That’s a big part of how I approach doula work, too.
I’m not here to tell you what you should do. I’m here to help you understand your options, prepare for what’s ahead, ask the questions you didn’t know you needed to ask, and feel confident making the decisions that are right for you and your family.
I care a lot about the emotional side of this transition, too. Pregnancy, birth, and becoming a parent can bring up a lot—and I believe you deserve support for all of it. Sometimes that looks like information and practical help. Sometimes it looks like processing a hard experience, connecting you with additional resources, or simply having someone sit with you while you figure out what comes next.
I’m committed to creating a space where all families feel welcome, respected, and supported. I’m an LGBTQIA+ ally and am committed to continuing to learn, listen, and practice anti-racism in my work.
And when I’m not with clients, I’m probably reading a romance or fantasy book, starting yet another craft project, adding to my ever-growing plant collection, or trying to give away the plant starts I somehow keep producing. I love experimenting with vegetarian and vegan recipes, going on long walks, and playing increasingly elaborate imaginary games with my husband and two kids.
I feel incredibly lucky to do this work—to be invited into such an important and often vulnerable season of people’s lives, and to stand beside them while they do really, really hard things.
I’d love to be that person for you.
